Biography
Samukelo Shembe is a Soweto born African Electronic Musician best known as Atmos Blaq. As a self taught producer he was introduced to Producing and Mixing programs from a very young age by his father, inspired in the sounds of Strings, Dark stabs with a punchy baseline ,Synths and melodic piano progressions, he took his years of learning Music to craft his own unique sound. He has currently focused on AfroTech and 3 step as his main Genre’s of choice. He has found a home with defected publishing and releases his music with different local and global labels. At 23 years of age ,he has seen himself get dubbed as the Prince or last born of AfroTech showing great promise as his peers have seen. He has captivated the world with his music and only seems to be rising currently on 200k monthly listeners on spotify and gaining more by the day as he expends his global reach and solidifies himself among the best globaly.
His First major single is Till We Meet Again which made huge strides in the house scene with over 1 Million streams followed by a Massive track in his remix of the classic gypsy woman on 2 Million streams plus. He has continued to release hot tracks in Abandonment issues feat. Sio, This is what it feels like remix , The cure & The Cause remix and and more. He has also found success in 3 step with his releases KwaMama, Mfana Wase Dobsi and the Baye Baye EP which have given him praise as one of the pioneers of 3 step. He has continued to redefine his sound by pushing his production boundaries and gripping the global market with his ever changing and adapting sound. He is currently working on his debut album that will be dropping in the near future with much anticipation and excitement from his fans. Already at a new age his catalogue stands tall and there’s more music coming.
Atmos Blaq has got support from the likes of Black Coffee, Themba, Shimza, Ryan Muargatroyd, Karyendasoul, Darque, Oscar Mbo, Thakzin, Major League and more that have supported his music that has made the Afro House Music scene notice his talent and Moslty Dance. Atmos Blaq has proven his skill by having his unreleased work featured on the popular shows such as Uzalo, The Queen,Date my family and other set productions for Mzansi Magic, Showing his diversity production wise. He has also toured the world having had shows in South Africa, Kenya, Egypt, Swaziland, Lesotho, Nigeria, England, Croatia, India, Ibiza, Malta, Netherlands and more proving that he has a huge demand on the global scene and with more shows coming further showing his reach and growth in the past years.
